We had to be at the hospital at 6:30am for Kaylees thumb surgery, to release the tendon.
We arrived there, Kaylee was assigned a bed, and then we waited until about 8am which is when they took her back. The surgery itself was about 30minutes. They brought her back to us when she was waking up from the anesthesia, which was about 9:30am. We then hung around for about an hour just so they could make sure she was doing ok, and she did great...She had 2 popsicles while we were there!!
She was in the most amazing mood both before and after the surgery.
We were back home at about 11:30am and then she played with her new toy that we got her
She has 4 stitches and currently has a bandaging on which can be removed on sunday, then at that time we can just put on a little polysporin and a regular bandaid
So far since we have been home she has been adjusting very well to use of only one hand!!
Such a lil trooper she is!!
Heres a couple before pictures..
These pictures were taken after the surgery, she was still a little sleepy.....
And now she is all dressed, ready to go home!!
And the ride to the car..
When we got home, we had a new toy for her. She loves singing so we got her a microphone!
