Today after I got home from work, I got the kids ready and took them to the Zoo.  What a beautiful day out today!!!

Catching Up!

Well, its been awhile so time to get back on this blog!

We were able to make it out to Saskatoon for my Grandmas 85th Birthday.   The roads on the way down were great.  When we got there we stopped at our hotel to check in, then went to my Grandparents place for dinner.  It was so great to see them  :)   We had brunch on the sunday morning and sunday evening went out to celebrate my Grandmas birthday at A&W with all her friends.  
During the day when they had their afternoon naps, we went back to the hotel and took the kids to the pool.
On monday, we headed back to Calgary.  Im glad I wasnt driving as the conditions werent that great.  There was lots of blowing snow and poor visibility.  Luckily, Dion is used to driving in those conditions, and very comfortable with it, so the drive back was good.   The kids were amazing the whole trip.  I was sooo impressed with how good they were in the car for such a long trip.  They barely complained at all!!!

We had Kaylees follow up appt last week from her thumb surgery.  It is healing very well, so all is good  :)

I registered both the girls for playschool next year.   Pre-registration was on a sunday at 8am...So, i went there and stood in line, outside, at 645am....Brrrrrr...I was soooooo cold..i thought my toes were gonna fall off..The things we do for our kids!!!
So, once september is here, Morgan will be going on Mondays from 1250-320pm, abd Kaylee will be going Mon/Wed/Fri from 1-330pm.   As for Morgan, i thought it would be nice for her to get out once a week and interact with other kids, thats why we decided to put her in for the 1day/week.  And village square is one of the few playschools that offer 2yr old classes.   I'm sure she will love it!!!!

This afternoon, Kari and the kids(Marcus and Keyarra) came over for a couple hours.  They all played so well together  :)

Its the Weekend!!!

Good Morning!!!

So, yesterday I was supposed to start work at 6am and I woke up at 5:56am...Oops!!!  That snooze button was a little too enjoyable that morning...Actually, I think I just shut the alarm clock off altogether, so good thing I woke up when I did....I was at work by 6:15..amazing how fast you can get ready when in a hurry!!!

After work, Dion and I had a massage downtwon and Serenite Spa.   The girl I had was great!!   
Then, my Mom, Sister and I went out for dinner and coffee.   It was a nice day altogether   :)

Today we have brunch at 11am at the Royal Inn...Yummy!!!!!!

Cross your fingers for nice road conditions next weekend.  We will be driving to Saskatoon for my Grandmas 85th Birthday.  I cant wait to see them!!!

Girls Weekend!!

This past weekend was a ton of fun!!  Every year for my sisters birthday, my Mom, Sister and I stay downtown at the Sheraton Eau Claire for one night.  We have our nice little getaway in the city!   Typically we go swimming at the hotel, relax in the hot tub...go for a walk through Eau Claire, dinner at Joey Tomatoes, and breakfast at Good Earth Cafe..and we bring a fruit tray and have some chocolate fondue and play games or watch tv...This year there happened to be a reptile show at Eau Claire so I felt brave and held a corn snake and some lizard thing-a-ma-bob!

Hello out there!! 
Well, not too much has happened in the last few days....had a good visit with the family, spent tuesday at my parents for dinner, and tonight they came to our place for dinner.  
Kaylees thumb is healing up very nicely, she could probably go without a bandaid at all in the next couple days...

Super excited for this weekend, gonna be a nice break in the city.  My Mom, Sister and I spend one night a year at the Sheraton Eau Claire.  We have dinner usually at Joey Tomatoes, breakfast at the Good Earth Cafe..or something similar if thats not what its called...then get to go swimming, relax in the hot tub.....soo very relaxing!!  Oh, and we have some chocolate fondue!!!!    YUMMY!!!!!!

Spaghetti..

Well, we got a lot of snow last night, so decided today would be a good day to stay home.
We set up the bouncy castle a few times, did a craft and made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.  The cookies would have been good, except Kaylee dumped in a little extra salt...and by that, I mean about 2tbsp extra..haha....
We had spaghetti for lunch, one of the kids favorite foods!!

Thumb Update!!

Well, Kaylee is still doing fantastico!!!  Back to school tomorrow  :)

Good Morning!!!

Well, not much going on today...going to Costco with my sister this afternoon, but other than that, just having a lazy day at home.

Happy Friday to me!

Yay, today is my friday...I work tuesday-saturday....So, I got home from work and Kaylees bandage was coming loose.  Rather than re-wrapping it, we just took it off and put on a regualr bandaid as the surgeon said she could take it off after 2-3days.  We were going to wait until tomorrow to do so, but we had to take it off to fix it anyway...and she wasnt too cooperative about it...

Tonight I am going to an epicure party with my mom, that my friend Kari is hosting, so will be nice to get out for a bit!!

Another day...

Wow, you would think Kaylee never had surgery, other than the bandage on her arm.  She slept from 8pm-9am, hasnt complained at all...just goes on with her day as if nothing ever happened.  
We havent been out with the kids for a week as we didnt want to risk Kaylee getting sick before her surgery.  So, today we took the kids to Chuck E Cheese.  After that we stoppped at Petland

Thumb Surgery Day!

Well, today was an early start for all of us, but a great day!
We had to be at the hospital at 6:30am for Kaylees thumb surgery, to release the tendon. 
We arrived there, Kaylee was assigned a bed, and then we waited until about 8am which is when they took her back.  The surgery itself was about 30minutes.  They brought her back to us when she was waking up from the anesthesia, which was about 9:30am.  We then hung around for about an hour just so they could make sure she was doing ok, and she did great...She had 2 popsicles while we were there!!
She was in the most amazing mood both before and after the surgery. 
We were back home at about 11:30am and then she played with her new toy that we got her

She has 4 stitches and currently has a bandaging on which can be removed on sunday, then at that time we can just put on a little polysporin and a regular bandaid

So far since we have been home she has been adjusting very well to use of only one hand!! 
Such a lil trooper she is!!

So, Kaylee has her thumb surgery tomorrow.  We have to have her at the Childrens Hospital at 6:30am.  She can have anything from now until midnight, only apple juice and water from midnight-5:30am and nothing after 5:30..Thank goodness I have Dion who will also be coming.   And Morgan will get to hang out with Grandma who was very kindly offered to be at our house bright and early tomorrow at 5:00am!!! 
Also thanks to my dad for delivering us apple juice since I have no car today and no apple juice...want to make sure we have some in case Kaylee gets thirsty in the night...she aint the biggest water fan!

Well, its 5:15am......
My snooze button was my friend today....feelin a little zombiesh right now...
Have to call the childrens hospital today between 1-3pm to find out what time Kaylee's surgery is tomorrow..

Found out last night that my neighbors house is for sale....kinda sucks as she is an awesome neighbor, so just hoping we get someone just as awesome that moves in..

So, I woke up yesterday to about -25c and today I wake up to -6c.  Feels so warm today!!

I better continue on my way, pack my lunch and head off to work...

Trying this blogging thing again...maybe it will last...

Hey everyone!!
So I tried this blogging thing before and I kept putting it off and then just didnt bother with it..So, lets hope I last a little longer this time!!
Kaylee has her thumb surgery on thursday, so not super excited about that, but at the same time, it is a very minor surgery, so nothing to get too stressed about!!   We are keeping her home from school this week as we dont want to risk her getting sick before the surgery....
Morgan loves to have her picture taken, such a little monkey she is!!
